The great unknown, 2025
Photography on velvet, hand-embroidered holographic thread. Framed in fluorescent acrylic.
78.5” x 51” in
I made this piece during a time in my life when I was on the verge of huge change that I couldn’t yet see, but I could feel. I knew that a huge expanse of unknown was ahead of me and it was both terrifying and liberating.
The part of me that knew where I was headed, the part of me that wanted to be free made this piece. It’s a reminder that The Great Unknown is where hope and transformation lie, and that no matter the difficulty of the current moment, you can walk forward and access it.
This piece is available to view in person at the Los Angeles studio.

This piece measures 78.5” x 51” and is one of my largest horizontal pieces at almost 7 feet wide.
At this size, it can easily can become the centerpiece of a room covering an entire wall in a dining room or covering the wall behind a king sized bed.

This piece is custom framed in a fluorescent acrylic floater frame that glows from within. It naturally glows with a bright yellow halo no matter the light on it.
The price of the piece reflects and includes the cost of custom framing.

Each piece is meticulously hand embroidered on velvet using holographic threads. The threads rise from the surface like wind-blown grasses, catching light.
The full effect has to be seen in person.
