aBOUT
Nicole Ryder is a Los Angeles–based artist working in hand-built stoneware ceramics, embroidered velvet works, and photography. She paints with her hands and uses her own hair as a brush — strands sometimes firing into the clay. Her work explores what passes through the body when the mind steps aside, and what is left on the surface. Before her studio practice, Ryder founded and led a New York creative agency for seven years. Her ceramics have been placed at Onna House since 2022; her work appears in Homo Faber 2026 in Venice.
